Marie A. Wexler (Founder and Associate - MAW)

Ms. Wexler is experienced in the areas of real estate development, construction management and marketing. In addition, Ms. Wexler has been actively involved in real estate brokerage, property management and asset administration.

From 1973 through 1979, Ms. Wexler was a principal in a residential and commercial real estate construction and development company that produced over 700 homes with a volume in excess of $40 million. From 1982 through 1985, Ms. Wexler was associated with a Fairfax , Virginia real estate development company involved in the development and marketing of four industrial parks in Fairfax and Loudoun Counties, which totaled approximately 150 acres. From 1985 through 1990, Ms. Wexler was a principal in a development organization which constructed over 750,000 square feet of office and flex-industrial space in Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William Counties. During the same time period, she was a principal in a real estate brokerage company involved in over $20 million of transactions per year. In that capacity, she was directly responsible for the administration of a brokerage staff of six to eight people, which involved the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies.

From 1990 through 1991, Ms. Wexler was associated with a Washington, D.C. based workout/turnaround management firm. In that capacity she was responsible for asset administration of a $300 million real estate portfolio including partnership interests in over 50 retail and multi-family projects.

In 1992 Ms. Wexler was one of the organizers of Marcher Consultants, Inc., and is currently its President.

In 1997 Ms. Wexler renewed her real estate development activity and has been principally responsible for the design, development, construction and sale of numerous flex-industrial condominium projects in Loudoun County and Prince William County, Virginia totaling almost 1,000,000 square feet . Ms. Wexler, in her capacity as President of Markey, Inc., organizes individual limited liability companies for each of the projects, and she serves as managing member for each of the LLC’s.

In addition, Ms. Wexler is the President of Markey Management Company – a condominium unit owners association property management firm that currently manages the operation of several condominium associations in Loudoun, Prince William and Fairfax Counties .

Ms. Wexler is a licensed real estate broker in the Commonwealth of Virginia .
